- TACLET Training- 3&4 May-Coast Guard Air Station, Miami-for eight cadets. All others, regular drill at base.
- Lady Lucille Mother’s Day Cruise- Saturday 10 May-Board at Coast Guard Station, Fort Lauderdale 11:30 am; We will have a regular drill at the base starting at 0815 with a Sea Bag Inspection to prepare for Mini-Boot Camp. Sea Bag Lists for Mini-Boot Camp were distributed. Parents who wish to attend the Cruise should come to the base at 1100 so we can carpool over to the Fort Lauderdale Coast Guard Station. Pick-up time is 1400(2:00PM) at the Coast Guard Station.
- Mini-Boot Camp -16-18 May-Camp Greynolds; Arrive 6:00pm Friday, Graduation 11:00 on Sunday. Fee is $45 for each cadet ($75 for two siblings), which can be paid by cash or check when the Cadet is dropped off at Camp Greynolds.
- Memorial Day Service-Monday, 26 May- All Hands Event- City of Sunrise, Welleby Park @ 0900. UOD is Dress Whites for Sea Cadets, Salt and Pepper for League Cadets.
- Awards Banquet-Tropical Acres –Saturday 31 May @ 4:00 pm. All Cadets and parents are encouraged to attend. Fee is $24 per person for Cadets, family and friends. Please RSVP by 23 May to Mr. & Mrs. Leo Greenfield, 1721 East Trafalgar Circle, Hollywood FL 33020, (954)921-7502.
- Summer Sea Cadet Recruit Training-Begins Sunday 8 June-Graduation- Saturday 21 June. Eagle Academy in Belle Glade. Dick Lawrence COTC.
- Navy League Membership- Membership fee is reduced to $50 per year for Council membership, in addition to $40 per year for National NLUS membership. All Sea Cadet parents are encouraged to join to help support the organization that sponsors our unit.
The next Parents Committee Meeting will be 7 June at 0830 at Sea Cadet Headquarters.
