FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL HANDS: USCG Academy 1 day Leadership Conference 12 February, 2011

Attached please find: 1) the 2011 USCGA letter announcing their 1 day Leadership Conference at the USCGA in New London, CT. and 2) the USCGA application form. Please note deadline for application is 7 December.

Details:
- Application is directly to the ACADEMY itself via mail
- Academy will advise if accepted
- Applications must be postmarked NLT 7 December
- Acceptance notifications will be from the USCGA in late December
- This is a one day only conference
- Berthing and transportation is NOT provided, only lunch and dinner the day of
- 8th, 9th, and 10th graders in good academic standing

For all hands, NSCC NHQ is trying to arrange some berthing Friday and Saturday nights for those cadets who might wish to travel in from outside the local commuting area (travel in Friday, attend Saturday, travel home Sunday. but it is not certain or guaranteed at this time. If interested, we recommend cadets apply regardless of berthing need. For those accepted from within the local commuting area, we only request a courtesy notification that you have been accepted. For those accepted and in need of berthing assistance, please notify NHQ Capt Nyland via e-mail hnyland@navyleague that you have been accepted and that you need airport or Amtrak pickup and berthing, and we will try to arrange, but no guarantees can be made at this time. Please understand that even if accepted you might not be able to go if we can't arrange the help needed. But we encourage you to apply regardless.
